Artist's Description

Today, 26 October would have been our late Mom Vickie’s, 89th birthday.
She lived with me, my brother Dennis and our dog Buddy. This photo was taken three years ago. Mom was a Scorpio so we had to keep the knives away from her when she got angry. LOL (just kidding) Mom worked as a Nurse for over 40 years until her retirement taking care of elderly patients. After my Dad died in 1981 she lived with her sons Dennis and Ed. She was loved by many including her four kids. She was a selfless person always helping others ane giving of herself. She loved crafts and was always crochetting or making craft items. She belonged to the Westwood Craft Class and loved her time spent there with many old ladies like herself, some over 100 years old. Halloween was her favorite time of year. She would dress as a witch to handout treats to the trick or treat kiddos. She rescued dozens of dogs and cats and even a pair of geese and a turkey once. They lived in our house like members of the family. We lived on a ranch at that time.
She was a wonderful human being so I feel it fitting to do this tribute for her on what would have been her 89th birthday. Dennis and I loved her dearly. So did our dog Buddy who she rescued from the pound. Ed
