Listen, Look and Learn

I find comfort in the rain. It’s cool, crisp, refreshing air invites my soul to take a deep breath. As I inhale every follicle – every cell stretches to receive the well of water GOD has graciously poured out on me.

The thunderous claps echoing across the land seem to applaud the flirtatious winks of Lightning’s agile lashes. Their tango is heard and seen darting across the captivating sky. The spontaneous repetition of their play comforts my monotonous day and brings a warm smile upon my face.

All creatures on Earth slow to a halt when visited by this dominating duo. They serve our Lord’s purpose each day demanding nothing but respect and awe. Their dance can make a grown man tremble in his skin: yet, what some perceive as horrifying God sees as glorifying.

Artist's Description

This was created during a thunderstorm. I am starting to love the rainy season more then the sunny summer season. This poem is a constant reminder of the reasons for difficult seasons – so GOD can be glorified.
