Where's Your Photo?

As host of Reflectivity, I thought I’d make some clarifications and changes.

Thank you to all the members and submitters in ‘Reflectivity’. The group has grown fast and the images are piling up. As such, I’m in the tweak mode for the group.

I don’t mean to offend anyone personally, but have you even read the description of this group? I’ve had some submissions that are so far off the mark I wonder if some folks did. Briefly:

This group’s Reflectivity is NOT:
A person or persons posed in reflective thought.
An enlightening moment of reflection pertaining to a concept such as the immenseness or granduer of planet earth.
A photo where the reflection is a minor element of the ‘big picture’.

What this Reflectivity IS:
Reflections captured in some sort of mirror image.
Said reflection is a major component of the photo, the reflection should immediatley jump out at you.

When I visioned this group it was in hopes of more unusual reflectivty shots. Photos taken from curious and unique perspectives and more than just lake and horizon reflections. Look at the featured photos, those are examples of the best of this group, unique and often simple images.

With this notice of clairification, I am also tweaking the rules a bit. I’ve put in a limit of ten photos per person. I am also going to tighten up on acceptance and will no doubt disappoint some of you with rejections. Sorry, but I’d rather have a smaller group of more focused images. If you hope to have your images seen, or even bought here at Redbubble, I think you’ll agree that you have much better chances in said smaller and focused group. That doesn’t mean I won’t accept water reflections but they must be really unique.

This said, I’m also advising you that I’m going to cull through this group and will no doubt drop a good number of the images. PLEASE don’t take this personally or as a slight on your skills. I am amazed at the number of great photographers in this group, you are all talented and there are plenty of other groups for your photos.

Lastly, if you have suggestions or comments on this group, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line.

Have a quality day and look for that unique reflection.
