Alone on High

She stands there on the mountain top, wind blowing in her hair.

The beauty that surrounds her frame is seen from everywhere.

A picture was instilled in minds, with dreams to touch the sky.

No talent could portray the look, many dared to try.

At times I saw her standing there, looking so serene.

Could I dare to climb so high, and claim the noble scene?

Not one soul can take her place, eyes blinded with deceit.

The evil goals were rising up, to fight and cause defeat.

Steely actions done and proved ensured her perch on high.

Up there where the eagles dare, way up in the sky.

A question arose and dared to claim that she was never real; the motive came from down below to taint her warm appeal.

After time a haggard mass could focus up no more.

For stuck the necks from looking up, made beauty not so pure.

She stands there on the mountain top, wind blowing in her hair.

Still pure she is alone up there, but no one seems to care.

Artist's Description

I believe in a way people seem to lose faith when purity questions their path. The inner stress to keep sights on raw beauty can fade one’s hope. With attempting to climb from that abyss, and the energy involved, heads will in most cases drop from defeat. Most will not admit it.
