Artist's Description

I use many characters, buildings and diecast cars to build villages for Halloween andChristmas. I have many photos of my mini villiages and stories about thecharacters who inhabit my unusual constructions. Meet Bones. As you can see in this humorous photo, he is feeding his dog bones the bones of a fish. That makes sense!! He is an icon of all my towns and is an animal activist given his adoration for his dog Bones. I share his passionate mission to rescue and protect dogs like his faithful skeletel canine and admire his shirt expressing his love for our devoted friend. He works hard with other boney activists who want to stop the abuse, neglect and kill shelters that frighten him and his loyal dog. He would never consider buying any dog from a puppy mill and although Bones is hard to cuddle, he is his loyal friend and one of the canines in my Halloween villages. I will post more about my stories and if you want to read about these unique and amusing characters like Bones and Florence, a cult hero who starred in the attack of the 50’ woman, you can see my work at or click my name Julie Marks as one of he artists at AW. When Florence came to town with her strange family, Bones was the first to greet her. The villagers ran for their lives and she unintentionally destroyed one of the town’s hair salons. Unfortunately she smokes and again inadvertantly burned down a local market and several homes. Thankfully, the fire department is very efficent and was able to control the blaze. Now that her whole family has joined her, several who live at the Pink Flamingo Trailer Park, there is trouble in Chillyville. I hope to fill you in on the dramatic events that occur in this once
peaceful town whose childen live in a time warp in the 1950’s enjoying sodas at the local malt shop in this once provincial and safe haven for adults and their children. Although many of the villagers fear Mr. Bones and the frightening appearance of his dog, he actually is a very pleasant guy for those who are brave enought to know him and his lovable canine companion.
