Lanterns

Let the stars come out tonight and glow like lanterns in the sky. I reach out to touch you but I fall right through, you were always an illusion of what I thought I could have. Brought back tot reality, the same place I was before just a few years later a few years wiser. So you see I’ve done this all before just a different time just a different whore. Say what you want and do what you will as I sit here still waiting for my turn, my go around the mulberry bush don’t forget how the story ends because it never changes. There’s an accomplice to every murder this one come with a twist. I bet this goes down in the record books and the headlines will scream in blood red. You said forever but I know what you meant your eyes spoke the truth. So emotions repeat and time skips a beat around you and me but forever can only last so long.
