Eagle Dancers

Dressed in black crowned by white,
Heads down, wings undulate
Crouching with feet moving,
bells tinkling,
lithe bodies surging to the drums’
ancient beat,
Feathers played by the wind in
graceful flight
Never physically soaring past the
clouds to the heavens.
Centries old tradition, passed on to
father’s son,
The dancers of the eagle.
