BEHIND THE DARK LOOKING GLASS

Behind dark looking glass
They gaze empty with significance of surface
They plead Look at me and I will exist
They beg look at me and I will live

Behind the dark looking glass
The windows of their souls are shut
Buried behind the looking glass

Behind the dark looking glass they scream
I am the king
I am the queen
The living pharaoh
Can you not see the pyramid I built

Behind the dark looking glass look you’ll see
The marbled tomb I built
It is a life’s work
it is a life’s dream
It is to bury the god of vulnerability

Look further and you’ll see
There lies the sarcophagus of dreams
A wonder of beauty and mystery
And on it reads the curse
You must not see the corpse that lies within
Behind the dark glass of vulnerability

In time the god concludes
it is the only refuge
And there upon will enter the chamber willingly
Surrounding it with treasures for life in eternity
And forevermore protect the god of vulnerability

The eye has the lads deceived
Behind the dark looking glass they cannot see the light emanating
The beauty that is within
It is the immortal spring
A beauty far beyond belief
A treasure that cannot be held within their pyramid
