SOMETIMES I DREAM A DREAM SO REAL

Yesterday’s forgotten dream
Appeared in night’s satin weave
The endless orphaned nights burn
Forbidden ecstatic memories return

Out of the bareness beckons the siren’s ancient song
It is the irresistible yearn
In your embrace I heard the stillness black
A rapid beat of a marble heart

Ambiguous the longing which fills my heart and calls the moth to flame
It is a gift of a jealous god
It is a sparrow caged in glass

Trapped in pathos’s web unbearable the pain
Remains the poison of much disdain
At last there’s nothing left but emptiness
Unmeasured in the depths of wretchedness

Inexorable the search
I beg the heart to cease
The words leave silent
The tears fall dry
On Ikarou’s wings I fly
Into the sun I soar

Sometimes I dream a dream so real
And I awake again to dream this dream so real
In the abyss of desire’s remembrances
I know It’s only an illusion of love’s resemblance

It is too late for me
The gods forget in life’s drunkenness
The earth is torn when it awakens
Only the heart remembers dreams
And yet sometimes I dream a dream so real

SOMETIMES I DREAM A DREAM SO REAL
