Artist's Description

Hibernating dormouse. (Isn’t he a cutie?) The quote is from the last stanza of Winter Sleep, a poem by Elinor Wylie (1885 -1928).
Etegami is a traditional Japanese folk art that combines simple images with words, usually using sumi ink and water-soluble paints applied by natural fiber brushes to washi postcards. Featured in Fantastic Mixed Art.
