The Beginning

I have just started on here and I’m sure 90% of new entries start with a similar phrase.
My husband has been suggesting for months that I should upload work on here but with a heavy work load at the time it just wasn’t going to happen. However the major exhibition is now over and the Christmas period is now leaving me a little time to catch up. The biggest surprise this Christmas is to find that my gorgeous Arab mare is pregnant by my handsome young Welsh Cob. She managed that quietly-she is 17 and has never had a foal, we became the owners of our young yearling Welsh colt on New Years Day and had him gelded swiftly. So in the New Year crossing all fingers and toes, a lovely little horse will be born. It is already wriggling actively in her tum and it is a delight to see. I also look after a stunning Dutch Warmblood mare and her son who has a famous father, a Cleveland Bay cross Thoroughbred.
I love climbing-rocks and mountains and some of my most memorable moments have been spent sailing across the Irish Sea to one of my most favourite places, the Scilly Isles, truly a paradise. My father was from North Wales and I have spent a lot of time climbing the Glyders and areas of Snowdonia. I live just by the Peak district.
My work is inspired by all of these, musings and dreams, watching people go by.
