Artist's Description

A salute to the refuges of the Bikini Islands, who lost their home to US atomic bomb testing. The US detonated 67 bombs there from 1946-1958. Their homeland is still unsafe for habitation, yet our government refuses to pay to clean it up. It’s ironic that the bikini bathing suit was named for this atrocity. Think about that the next time you are at the beach!
