Photo Shoot: "Escape from the Legacy"

The photos in my “Escape from the Legacy” collection feature images of characters based on the popular Disney science fiction movie Tron: Legacy. In this movie the son of a virtual world designer goes looking for his father and ends up trapped inside the digital world that his father designed. These images play on the idea of attempting to escape from the legacy of living in a world dominated by computers. They include the following images.

*Do We Dare?
*Looks Good
*Let’s Go
*Quick, Go Back
*Hurry!
*Keep Going Guys
*That Was Close

During this photo shoot, which we were doing on the streets of San Francisco, a police car suddenly appeared. You can see the reaction of the policemen in Keep Going Guys. My guess is they recognized the costumes and had seen the movie. How often do you see a policeman smile like that?

Behind the Scenes
I have spent most of my life doing theatre in one capacity or another. I can’t tell you what a joy it is to work with performers. When my long time model and friend Alexandra told me she had a chance to work a corporate gig in Silicon Valley as the character Quorra from the movie Tron: Legacy, I volunteered to make her costume. When her friend and co-producer, Michael Ray, heard this, he asked me to make him a costume as well for this gig. This was all done on my part as a volunteer for my friends. As a thank you they insisted on working with me on a photo shoot so I would have a record of these costumes I had made.

Performers back stage preparing to go on, can be so much fun to be around. These back stage antics and hamming it up are included in my “Photo Shoot” collection.
