Artist's Description

pen and ink drawing of an otter this is one from the scottish cost the inland otters are still rare in england they are gradualy coming back due to the ban on hunting but are slow in doing so and are difficult to keep a check of there numbers they have learned to avoid man at all costs and are by nature more secretive than the sea otters though not a seperate species some inland otters will travel to the sea can you believe in england at least a whole breed of dogs (the otter hound) where bred just to hunt these incredible creatures all in the name of sport YEAH!!! they had there own natty little outfit these sports men and there own little rituals but what really sickens me is they would find an otters holt then some would go downstream and form a barrier accross the stream then the rest would go up stream driving the otter towards the barrier shouting and sending in the dogs then when they had the otter traped the dogs would go in and kill the otter what a sense of triumph they must have felt man in all his might
