“Patti” is a soft sculptured 18" doll designed and created by a Georgia dollmaker by the name of Dell White. She is very posable because she has a wire armature throughout her body. On her curly red hair rests a red felt hat that is complete with red plaid ribbons, red roses, and a gold buckle. She is dressed in a dark purple crushed velvet blazer, white ruffled blouse with a lime green bow tie, and black satin knickers. On her feet she sports to the knee support hose and hand made black patent leather sandals. Quite a hoot to look at and her photo does do her kookieness justice!! “Patti” was the name given to her by Dell White and is a part of the information written on her hang tag.
Patti was an Easter present this year to me from my hubby, Stace. he knows that nothing excites me any more than a new doll. Using the information provided on the hangtag, I was able to track down Dell White who is now in Ohio at her summer home. She was thrilled that one of her babies went to a collector who would give her the proper care that she deserves.
As for me, I am wondering if perhaps she might be a miniature characterized version of myself!!! Just about the only thing missing on me would be the support stockings. I can go with the purple blazer and the Red Hat Society hat, but NEVER the stockings!!! LOL
