Artist's Description

Taken at Sweetwater Wetlands, Tucson,AZ 2010

This warbler breed in arid interior habitats, especially pinyon-juniper woods and oak-clad slopes and canyons, as well as moist woodlands of the Pacific Northwest. An active, arboreal forager it often flutters out to glean insects from needles and twigs. Will join mixed species foraging flocks in the winter.
VOICE Rising, accelerated notes with a downward flourish, but with less tonal range and more modulated. Call a low, full tchip, recalling Myrtle (Yellow-rumped)
