"Perpetual Night" 1986-06-25

From within the shrouds of circumstance’s dark cocoon,
Emanates a light, brightening heartaches dusty tomb.
Each thread of silk is slowly unwound
As the teeth of frustration are gnashed and ground.

For there is nothing sadder than a crying clown
Nothing looks more ironic that smile over frown,
Raining eyes on round red cheeks
Silvery tan, from behind pasty white, peeks.

So as darkness weaves its way around me
Envelopes everything my eyes can see,
I wonder if I’ll ever again C the light
Or if my life will B 1 of perpetual night.
