APPARENTLY THE DOG BATRICK WAS A TOWN DOG……EVERYBODY OWNED HIM.MY GRANDMOTHER SAID THAT ONE NIGHT WHEN GRANDAD WAS ON HIS WAY TO WORK HE LEFT THE DOG WITH THE RAILWAY SIGNALMAN.SOMEHOW THE DOG GOT LEFT IN THE STATION OVER NIGHT, NOTHING TO DO,AND DOGS BEING DOGS…NOTHING TO DO, SO CHEW SOMETHING!!!! HE CHEWED THE WIRES THAT CONNECTED THE WESTERN SIDE OF CANADA TO THE EAST. NO SIGNALS WENT THROUGH NO INFORMATION…NOTHING! GRANDMA ALSO TOLD US THAT A SMALL BOOK WAS WRITTEN ABOUT BATRICK THE RAILWAY DOG.HE WENT ON TO LIVE A FAIRLY LONG LIFE,WITH ANYONE WHO WOULD FEED HIM.
