Artist's Description

While driving around in the snow here in Arizona, I came across this Red-tailed Hawk sitting on a stake on a bob wire fence. I passed it up, and drove about 5 miles before I could turn around to go back to it. Hoping it would still be there. Well it was! So I got a photo from the car window, trying not to spook it. Then I realize this beautiful bird was playing games with me. First he flew a few feet in front of the car, so my son who was driving, pulled up a little, then he flew back to his original spot. So we backed up. Then back to the spot ahead again. So we pulled up. Then it flew across the street and landed on a sign. So we turned around. He sat there a minute, looked at me. Then flew back to the original spot. Finally he flew off. As we drove away, back to the original spot he went, once again. I hope this bird had as much fun watching me chase it, as I did taking photos of it.
