Blue Eyed Grass is a native perennial that grows in open meadows all across
Canada except Nunavet. It also grows in Midwestern and North Eastern U.S.
Distinguishing Features – Leaves: 5 – 50 cm long; basal, linear. Flowers: blue or deep blue-violet with yellow centres, 1 – 3.8 cm wide, with 6 petal-like segments, finely pointed on an otherwise blunt or notched tip.
Widespread; in moist places, open meadows; lowlands and mountains.
