Question for working photographers

I have basically been taking photos as a hobby, for friends and in my free time, and it’s getting to the point where I am being asked by people I don’t even know. What sort of rates should I start with? Here are some facts about me: I have my sony Alpha 100, no extras, I don’t have studio and have made-do with outdoors and backdrops and I have no professional experience. Does anyone have any advice for session fees or anything?

Whose bought artwork from Redbubble?

I’m absolutely in LOVE with some of the art on this site. We just bought a new house and I’m looking to decorate it with some great pieces. I’d love to know if the larger framed or mounted pieces come out crisp and clear like I view them on my monitor? I’d love to support some fellow bubblers but I really want it to be amazing and breath taking! Anyone have any tips or advice on the quality? Thanks!

Copyrighting Images

So I was curious about the fact that the images we upload in Redbubble aren’t protected against being copied or taken without permission. Other sites I know of you can’t ‘right’ click on the images you upload. What does everyone think of it? I know there are people out there who would rather just copy it to their computer and print it than pay for it to be processed by Redbubble.

YAHOO!! I sold a card!!!

I’m so pumped. Someone purchased a card of my photo ‘A Car’s Soul’. What an amazing feeling! Thank you to the mystery buyer and thanks to everyone who’s been commenting on my photos! I really appreciate the feedback and advice! I hope to sell many more pieces of art and totally take off with my photography!

Here’s a quick question….how do you get more sales from this site? Can I share the site with other people besides redbubblers and get my friends and family to view my stuff? How does everyone else get maximum sales? I’m quite a ways off before I get paid so I’d love to boost sales!!!

Hey Everyone....

I’m really new to this whole photography is my ‘artwork’ sort of idea. I’ve always loved taking photos but since I got my Sony Alpha I’ve taken it to a whole new level. I’d love feedback on my pictures and any tips or advice for composition ideas. I’d also love to know some cool tricks to do with my camera. Hope you all enjoy!!
