I keep seeing pictures of sandy beaches, warm sun, surfers and children running round with buckets and spades. Well, all I know is that it must be a product of some pretty deft Photoshop work because this, boys and girls, is how it really is, thick bands of ice on the beach of Belliveau Cove on the shore of St. Mary’s Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. I took this late this afternoon and it was cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey! COLD!
