Love Walked In

Love walked in,
Took a bow;
I said, wow!
Holly cow!
On second thought,
Why now?
So late to get
In the game—
I think you have
The wrong name—
Love replied,
You have the
Wrong blame;

Love walked in,
My door ajar;
Almost forgot
That wishing star—
Yet, the door-mat
Covered in roses,
And the vases
Filled with poses (posies),
Both of us
With drippy eyes
And runny nosies (noses)—
I said, brought tissues
At least I hope—
She said, still issues
You hairless dope—
Love, at any age,
The slippery slope,
Needing only gravity
To elope
