the life i've lost

it used to be a happy place,

in which i would always embrace,

the life that was thrown upon me,

but nao im locked out and ive lost the key.

i wish you’d open up the door,

and tell me not to wait anymore,

for all my life i’ve been standing here,

while all along you were very near.

i’ll hold close to me what you’ve left behind,

until the day you decide to shine,

i’ll wait for the day when my life returns,

to take away the cuts and burns.

you’ve left behind you both sad and joy,

memories of happy days of noise,

you’ve left behind a broken heart,

that had wished that we’d never part.

the days have grown long and the nights grown cold,

i wish for you to return the gold,

and when the flowers bloom and shine,

you’ll be with me and it’ll all be fine.

the life i've lost

Artist's Description

a love poem written about someone. he told me to hide a secret message in it so he could find out what i wasn’t telling him…..the not telling part is the other poem before this one…..and yess….im not that good at hiding stuff, just good at expressive & detailed lines with good adjectives.
