Lucky girl!

I’m a lucky person on many levels, but this week I’m lucky for two special reasons: I bought a DSLR on Wednesday, a Canon400D with 2 lenses, an intimidating package of tricks and technology – BUT I’LL COPE!!!!!
Second, I’m taking it with me to India on Tuesday, for a try-out! Actually, I’m going anyway, because I’ve volunteered to be team manager for a group of showjumpers, to an international competition in Bangalore. Three young folk (18,22 and 27) have all themselves volunteered for selection to this national team, to represent Australia in a competition on borrowed horses (no-one can take horses to India, because you can’t bring them home again…), and the national body, the Equestrian Federation of Australia, selected me to be the team manager.
I’m lucky because a number of circumstances mean that I can afford to pay for myself (as the riders are doing too), and I get a week in India, doing what I love most – being with horses and horse people, and taking photos! Who could ask for more???
I won’t be able to post photos from Bangalore because although it’s the IT capital of the universe, we’re staying way out of town in a ‘resort’ without any technological capacities whatsoever, apparently. So ………. I’ll have to go cold turkey on the Bubble for a week, and then post the pics when I get home.
Anyway, it’s another top week for me – last week went to Port Willunga for my first outing with the Digi Day Out group – great people, talented, friendly, supportive, all together a great afternoon/evening.
Roll on Tuesday – I love travelling so much, I get excited flying to Melbourne, let alone Bangalore!
