So, yesterday I spent a few hours wandering around beautiful scenery, taking photos – which is quite usually for me on a weekend. I came back home, and scanned through my performance.

And was appalled. I suck. I hated it all. Overexposed skies, mainly. I was almost teary, I hated it so much, because I fully expected to be in awe of my incredible talent. Instead, I was overawed with my incredible mediocrity.

I write this not for sympathy, but for those that find themselves getting too far ahead of themselves, and thinking they have a Golden Finger. Think hard and well before wasting opportunities. And get filters…

Having said that, I’m sure, and know from experience, that I will probably like a few of these shots once I leave them alone for a while…
