Artist's Description

Route 66 reached right across the US from Chicago to LA back in the thirties, when it was built. In the 50s they called it America’s Highway and population along this iconic road exploded. There was even a TV series about it. When a new superhighway was built, it bypassed all the small towns along Route 66 and these became ghost towns. Today about 125 miles of the original asphalt still exists in Arizona, and it’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Check out my 2014 calendar, soon to be posted to RB.
