Artist's Description

Here’s the challenge: You can write your own title for this shot. It can be funny, punny, quirky, poignant, reflective, historical, hysterical – anything you like.

All you have to do to enter is submit your title as a comment here.

Yes, you can enter as many times as you want, on as many days as you want. You can keep coming back, looking at other people’s titles and keep adding your own. The contest will be open for just over 48 hours and will close at midday (Melbourne time) on Monday 1 November, which is 3am Friday in London and 10pm Thursday in New York.

There’s only one rule: no profanity. Have fun …. I’m throwing the gauntlet down NOW!

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 38mm.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

In joint tenth place we have Mando13 with ``AD: `Secretary for hire, send photos of BOSS’!” and David Davies with ``Two cans is a bit of an exaggeration!’’

In joint ninth place we have Grandma Mattie with ``I’m armless enough – come in and have a browse!’’ and Susan Littlefield with ``Hey Venus, you’re looking very statuesque!’’

In joint eighth place we have Betty Mackey with ``Where did I leave my hat?’’ and Linda Brammer with ``I lost my head when I found out the price of the two old cans.’’

In joint seventh place we have PBWright with ``Two can play this game, even without arms’’ and LeslieBC with `He said I’d only feel a little pinch!’’

In sixth place we have Carla Jensen with ``This is what happened to the last person caught shoplifting from this store!’’

In fifth place we have LadyFi with ``Don’t be a dummy! Come on in…’’

In fourth place we have Linda Bianic with ``Just washed my hair, couldn’t do a thing with it, so I left it at home!’’

In third place we have Georgie Hart with ``You should have seen me when I was young – I had a face to die for. Now I’d die for a face.’’

In second place we have Ranald with ``David, you pressed the shutter too late to catch the start of the arms race!’’

AND THE JOINT WINNERS ARE: Ellis Morley Photography with ``New book out: Coping with Disability – for Dummies,’’ and Pix-Elation with ``Breaking news … nasty accident brings a premature end to the annual Sword Swallowers’ convention.’’
