Put on your thinking caps, have as many guesses as you want – and most of all, have fun. Your time starts …. NOW!
Spoiler alert: do not read any further unless you want the answer revealed.
First part solved by three people: It is the nose cone of an F/A-18 Hornet jet fighter belonging to the Royal Australian Air Force. It was Steve Hunter who came closest, identifying it as the tip or nose cone of an aircraft, then Ellis Morley Photography and Arrowman emerged in a dead-heat to identify the aircraft as an F/A-18. (You can actually see another shot of this sleek fighter on my RB portfolio at Hornet Canopy, showing another unusual point of view.)
Second question: Which popular TV programme featured a fictional masked vigilante with a sidekick called Kato who was a martial-arts expert? Solved by Manila, who answered “The Green Hornet”.
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma18-125mm lens. F8, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 58mm.
