Artist's Description

Put on your thinking caps, have as many guesses as you want, and most of all, have fun. Your time starts … NOW!

Spoiler alert: do not read any further, unless you want to see the answer.

First part of the questiion: solved by CapturedByKylie from Castle Hill, Australia, who correctly identified it as the hand-crafted timber floor of a ute (which is a utility vehicle or a pickup). You can see other views of this beautiful old Chevy ute at Forget MasterChef, This Is Master Chev and Sun Seeker on my RB portfolio.

Second part of the question: posed by our winner, CapturedByKylie, who wants to know:
1- When was the first ever ute designed?
2- Which company designed it? (Bonus points if you can name the employee who designed it.)
3- What year did this company first start commercially selling utes?

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K200D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/350 sec, ISO 200, focal length 125mm.
