The late-evening sun transformed this facade into soemthing far more appealing than just a piece of architecture – and the palm fronds on either side suggested the perfect frame for the shot.
This graceful building is the Oberoi Grand Hotel, one of the major landmarks of central Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). It dates back to the heyday of the British Raj and these huge windows have looked out on much of the city’s rich history.
