Artist's Description

This old-fashioned jar was sitting beside the kitchen sink in 2008 when I realised that the late-evening light gave me a really interesting subject devoid of colour. 1,041 views on 9 November 2013.

The contrast between metal and glass in shadow and light magnetised me instantly.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F6.7, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 125mm.
