Artist's Description

This is the final illustration from the book Griffin’s Way written by Lynette Dungan. The story is about a gryphon who lost her way in life and consulted a number of creatures who helped her to lift up her wings and fly above her cares and fears. Of course it all happened in a dream that the young girl in the picture had one night. She gave thanks for all the flying creatures that came into her dream. Her dream lifted her spirits and helped her find her own way in life.

In this illustration I tried to show her wondering whether the flying creature outside her window was actually one of those from her dream.
