'I Surrender'

His curiosity would always get the better of him. A young man with little purpose, going to destinations unknown. He rode that freight train day and night, in search of a place he could call home. It happened on a day like any other. On a crisp November morning he awoke, only to find he wasn’t alone. She lead him through the city streets. Steam from the sewers rose like spirits lost in translation. Without warning she was gone. Nothing could take the place of her. Until eventually he stopped looking. He lay on the street curb, tilted his head back and waited…waited for a reason to move again.

Artist's Description

I wrote this on the train coming home. I got the title from a new Ryan Adams demo I listened to, I couldn’t think of a title, and this line from the song seemed to fit perfectly.
