Dark Angel

A dark Angel walks on by,
and all of those who had her once denied
fall down unto their knees and give their pleas.
Her dark hair filled with morning star dust
comes billowing down unto the ground
An angel of light to some here She comes
With a frightning sound to those all around,
walking upon the beams of the moon light
to many who hide in terror and fright.
Death comes wearing a glowing gown
and walks on through the town
with the deathning sound of silence.
And so it is that death is mute
for all those who for fear did not dare refute
Have gone to past silent.
The dark angel walks on by,
without a sound they fall to the ground without a cry
and the cold of the mortal soul takes its toll
for all those for whom upon the Earth did roam
and for their lives un-atoned it is their own shadows from whence they hide.
A dark Angel walks on by
and upon a mirror from whence we be shattered
and to the multitude we have hence been scattered
we see what it is that really matters
that dark and light come not from out but in
for it is we whom create our own sin
for we are judged as we judge our kin
for inside we are all the same within.

Artist's Description

When I wrote this poem, I was originally thinking of it as lyrics for a dark melodic song. Something gothic and dark.
