On one of my roadtrips, this time of the Peak Districts, in central & northern England, I was taken to the town of Bakewell in Derbyshire (famous for the Bakewell Tart). It was there that I saw this young chap trying to make some pennies.
In England street busking is illigal, & just like in the movies this young musican was trying to avoid the local patrolling police (who happened to be out in great numbers this day). Nevertheless despite the threat of the local bobbies he was immersed in his music and oblivious to everything around him.
I completely understand the feeling of tuning out when your passion lies in something (reading & photography are mine). Unfortunately the police came around the corner forcing him back to reality as he had to bolt quick smart (I’m not kidding).
