Artist's Description

The Giant Australian Cuttlefish is a master of disguise. This animal has the remarkable ability to change its shape and colour to mimic the surrounding environment. Unfortunately, that skill alone will not save them from the ongoing threat of compounding human impacts. Whilst protected from fishing at the Upper Spencer Gulf breeding ground near Point Lowly in South Australia, the area has a long-standing industrial past and new proposals are in place to introduce a suite of new polluters. You can find out more and help save the cuttlefish from habitat loss at Cuttlefish Country
