Artist's Description

To make a long story short…. my girls and two of their friends came dragging this bird home this afternoon. They “rescued” it near the creek. OMG! Found a box… put the bird in the box and made them all SCRUB their hands and arms. OK, inspected the critter (without touching) to see if it was ok. Seemed ok. I’m thinking… “a face only a mother could love”, or maybe she didn’t and shoved it out of the nest, (shudder). Light bulb…. PHOTO OP! Took the box and the bird and without touching him mind you, got him to sit on a branch. A branch low to the ground since I wasn’t sure it could fly. He had fuzzy hair on top of his head and missing feathers around his neck area. The sun was behind him and when he cawed I noticed that his skin was so thin that the sun made him almost transparent. If you look real close you can even see the veins (shudder) again. Anywhoo… the picture isn’t the best focus, but what a strange sight! The girls named him lucky since he was so “lucky” they rescued him…lol
BTW: Anyone know what kind of bird this might be…. ?
A few more pics to follow….. I think this may be a young crow.
