The Story Behind “The Hall”
Located in Mechanicsburg, PA.“So what happened is, man embezzles money from corporation to build a house, goes bankrupt, sells the place, and immediately after signing the papers, lights it on fire, if he can`t have it, no one can. Since then, the place has been a sort of unnoficial party central, although you will get a fine if you`re caught out there, most people don`t care. The building has been vandalized and even caught on fire multiple times, each time the fire company couldn`t put it out, so they had to just let it burn, somehow, a good portion has survived all that. A few years back, a teenager at a party there, `accidentally` fell down an elevator shaft, his friends pulled him out, left him on the neighbors` front porch and high-tailed it, the boy died before ever getting any medical attention. Today, the building is severely weather-damaged and is a condemned building.”
