In His Hands He Held A Rose

Clasped in hands so strong
Petals bright and sweet
In contrast to the mines
So dark and full of heat

This blessing Gaia gives
To those who take time out
To stop and smell the roses
And love instead of shout

So hear the plea I offer up
To cloud and sky above
As I kneel on Mother Earth
As gentle as a dove

I thank you for your bounty
And all that you provide
For roses blooming up above
And the ore you keep inside

I know how much you care for us
Although you bear our scars
For unto us doth spill the light
Of sun and moon and stars

In His Hands He Held A Rose
