Artist's Description

In August 2007, this band of cloud passed across our property on the Southern Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. I was pleasantly surprised by the patterns and shapes that were formed along the trailing edge as it passed.

The band of cloud was probably 100 kms long from the South West through to the North East and went past reasonably quickly.

While I admit that they are not the most startling of pictures, I thought some of those fellow bubblers who have a fascination with the weather might find them interesting.

It would be interesting if anyone can give a good rationale as to why and how these patterns occur.
