The Chain of Love:
This photograph was taken at a professional studio in Concepcion. Chile. 1898.
You will not beleive it, but this photograph presents my grandfather, grandmother, my father and my uncles.

1898 !!!

From left to right: My Uncle Heinrich, Uncle Max, Grandfather Stanislaus, Uncle Wilhelm, my Father Alexander, Grandmother Berta.
Yes, the “baby-girl” is my father! It was a tradition at high bourgeois social class at that epoch to dress the little boys as girls!

…And why 1898 ? My family ?

My father was born in 1897 (died 1987, 90 years old, God Bless him).
I was born 1957 when my father was 60 years old…
Thus, my father’s family lived all a lot of time ago.
They are all gone in this photograph, but I love them all so much, that you can not imagine.

I never met my Grandfather Stanislaus because he died by 1917, in Berlin during WW-I, 40 years before I was born. But I know (my father told me) that he was a great and lovely Person, a heartful patriarch, very powerful but also sensitive, intelligent and generous, a loving father and husband, thus I worship him. And I never met my uncle Wilhelm because he died in 1952, 5 years before I was born. But my father told me a lot about him because he loved him so much.

My Grandmom Berta died 1963 when I was 6 so I remember her! And I love her!

Uncle Heinrich died in 1986. When I was 29.
Uncle Max died 1974, when I was 17.
Aunt Johana died in 1992 (she is not on this photo, as she was born one year later than this photo).

My beloved Father died in 1987 when I was 30. I love him unconditionally and infinitely. Because that way He loved me when I was little and needed him.

My beloved Father, I remember and love you so much. So much, so much. God bless you. I am so proud to be your son. I miss you.

And I love so much your parents and your beloved brothers and sisters, my Grandparents and Uncles and Aunt.

Granddad Stanislaus and Grandmom Berta I love you so much too. Infinitely. You gave me such a wonderful Father. I am so thankful.

God Bless you all. I will always love you all, in eternity.

My beloved Father, Granddad and Grandmom, I swear to you, I am giving the love You gave me further to my own family, my children and my wife, whom I love infinitely. Thus the chain of Love goes on from generation to generation.
