Trikeratos, product of biology and technology. If someone asked me what it meant, I suppose I’d say, “a fanciful expression of how technology can illuminate details of the distant past.”
But no one ever asks me that.
(A sequel, A Gloom of Duralumin Dragons, is here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/cubelight/works... )
The skeleton for this piece is based on photos taken of the Triceratops mount at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (I was attending SVP in 2008, and had the opportunity to take lots of photo reference).

Fabulous dinosaur, Cubelight . . . congrats on the homepage (Found) feature!
Thanks! It was an unexpected surprise!
Brilliant work! Really lets the animals structure stand out
Thanks! Basically just a skeletal (this is from the Triceratops mount at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History) with lights.
Maybe I should update the description to reflect that fact. Hm.
I’d’ve asked, but you’ve already told me. This is a kind of Ceratopsian constellation… perfect for a friend who is an ambitious amateur fossil hunter & an astronomy freak.
