Hades

Dead drifting desolately, feeling and sense none.
Kings and beggars, here it matters not.
All ruled by the king of the dead,
Here in the Underworld, in Hades.

No sun shines here, no moon will appear.
As gray as an old man’s beard.
Ghostly fires dancing, sending no light.
And ghastly moans shivering men in fright.

Here the great warrior traveled,
As he sought his way home.
Sacrificing to the dead,
From Teiresias, he learned what he needed to know
