Nursery Rhyme Blooper

Have you heard of the cow varmint
who jumped over the moon rhyme?
Well, the little dog didn’t
laugh this time.

Because when he did – that one fateful spell,
even the church bell could not tell
between the toll and the commotion
that all seemed yet another Walt Disney’s production!

Even the farmer could not presage
the falling of the cow into a bird cage,
the hapless dog along with it,
Rolling in frenzy into the waiting pit.

Now then, the dish could not run away with the spoon -
it took ten men to get them all out at noon!
Trevor and Annie and the rest, must have more to add
to this BLOOPER nursery rhyme than I just had.

Artist's Description

We learned early on that rhyming words in poetry make it easy to understand how the imagination is caught up in the play of words; and as we grow older we find life does not have to rhyme with reason because the child within us knows- it is the way it is…
