Artist's Description

Hasn’t everyone lain awake on occasion, unable to turn off the thoughts running rampant thru the minefields of a restless brain? There must be others who can relate to a lost love, a failed relationship, doing the mental exercises to figure out where things went wrong and what might have saved it.

Communication is key to any social situation, but if everyone always said the right thing at the right time, many great literary works would never have had a premise to build on. Where would Gone With the Wind have been if Scarlet had only told Rhett she loved him…

Anyway. I wrote this at three a.m. on one of those sleepless nights, rehearsing a conversation that will never happen. For the background abstract, I used colors of fog and smoke, regret, tears, and maybe just a tiny touch of hope. The writing is positioned deliberately off center; what can be in balance when you have lost part of your Self?

Anyone who has a relationship in jeopardy that might still be saved could use this card as a starting point to get a dialog started. It’s worth a try.

Oh, if you can’t read the zoomed-in version, see the original in my writings section.
