Artist's Description

Submitted for the happy challenge. Had to combine elements from several different pictures, starting with my halloween portrait from 2007, wearing my spiky, black fright wig (I only wish
I had that much hair!). But the mouth was wrong for a happy challenge, so I cut the smile out of a picture of me on my cruise to Cozumel last year. What to use for a background was a bit of a stumper, until I browsed thru my portfolio and found Realistic Habitat from my last visit to the waterfoul enclosure at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. The final touch, which I could not resist, was a pair of glowing eyes lurking in the jungly darkness, courtesy of my beautiful kitty. The overall effect, I believe, shows a person trying to hope for the best in uncertain circumstances. Plus, I am being VERY happy that the treatment of this picture makes me look about thirty-five years younger.

I hid this once the competition was done, but I still enjoy looking at it, so am making it public again as greeting card. There is a down the rabbit hole aspect that I find quirky.
