French impressionist question

I just added a comment to my picture of The Girls At Lunch and then I thought to post it as a journal entry for better exposure. One of the reasons I am drawn to this picture so much is that the attitude and expressions of the women has always reminded me of some French impressionist painting, and I am not sure which one specifically, so possibly it is just the genre in general that I am thinking about.

However, I found this example just now on www.freewarefiles.com

but they offered the image for use as a screensaver under the heading of “French impressionist paintings” without attributing the title or the artist whose work it is. My appreciation of fine art does not extend to being able to name all of the prominent impressionists, although I can usually pick out a Monet and I know this is not his work.

The girl whose face I enlarged may have been a popular model of the time, because I seem to recall her from other paintings. If anyone can tell me the title and artist of this piece, or point me to other paintings with this face in it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
