Artist's Description

June Lake was formed by a 2,000-year-old lava flow blocking a tributary of Swift Creek on the south side of Washington’s Mount St. Helens. The lake is located along the base of a basalt cliff over which a 20m waterfall pours, replenishing the lake’s cold, clear water.
