Hollow boy

What is a boy without any hopes?
Is he hollow like a tree?
One that has been swallowed hole,
By termites at his feet.

Is his face empty?
Like a poorly made mask?
Whenever I look at him
I’m not sure he’s looking back.

Is it possible to show misery?
With a blank look upon your face?
I know this look too well
It’s a boy that’s lost his faith.

If those who smile the most,
Are the ones of fake content.
Then what do you say of those
That smile like cement?

I know this boy
for he is me
Yes,
I’m the eaten tree.

I’ll let you know
Surprisingly
No,
you will not see me grin.

My hopes are gone
Dropped down a well
Yes,
This is my hell.

I welcome you
With opens arms
Know,
I’ll do no harm.

So what of this boy who is me?
What will he grow to be?
A solemn voice, that grew to see
Himself, a weeping willow tree.
